Stand up for the river

Every objection we file carries the weight of the people behind it. Join more than 100 individuals, parish councils and riparian owners who already stand with the Whitewater.

Become a supporter

A modest subscription, a louder voice

As a donor you'll be invited to our Annual General Meeting and to at least one gathering a year, usually on the banks of the Whitewater itself, with updates on planning developments and the health of the river.

  • Invitations to the AGM and riverbank events
  • News on planning battles and river health as they unfold
  • The knowledge that your name strengthens every objection we raise

Time counts as much as money

Monitor the river

Our volunteers run regular riverfly surveys, counting the invertebrates that are the river's early-warning system. Training is provided, and every count matters.

Speak up on planning

Consultation responses from residents genuinely sway decisions. We flag the applications that threaten the valley and show you how to respond effectively.

Join us on the bank

From the summer party to habitat-enhancement days, our gatherings keep the community close to its river. Everyone is welcome; bring your wellies.

Not sure where you'd fit? Tell us what you enjoy and we'll match you to something useful. No experience needed for any of it.
